What a wonderful night with Sacramento Republic FC!
It was such a treat to serve as Honorary Captain of the Match for last night’s playoff match and share the excitement with our Sacramento community!
Congratulations to the players and coaches on a fantastic win!
Our region is investing in roads, rail, transit, ports, and airports. Our small businesses are ready to help build them.
Today I joined the CalAsian Chamber to open a new center that will connect small businesses with the funding and support they need to compete for that work. 🧵
I am deeply saddened by the passing of Dolores Huerta, a trailblazer who dedicated her life to fighting for workers' rights and social justice.
As co-founder of the United Farm Workers, she helped secure better wages, safer working conditions and collective bargaining rights for farmworkers. 🧵
Some moments are especially meaningful, and honoring Staff Sergeant Robert J. Graves (Ret.) with the Meritorious Service Medal was one of them.
For more than 21 years, Robert served our state and nation in the California Army National Guard with dedication, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment. 🧵
When Natomas’ levees fell short of federal standards, building came to a halt. The rest of Sacramento faced the same risk.
That’s why I worked with local, state, and federal partners to secure billions of dollars to strengthen levees across the region. 🧵
Hurricane Katrina showed the nation what happens when a city's levees fail. I didn't wait, I made sure we got to work.
A state of emergency was declared ahead of what experts are calling a historic and dangerous El Niño. That's why I've secured over $4 billion for flood protection. Because it's about being protected and prepared. That will always be my priority.
I’m grateful to Sacramento Area Congregations Together (Sacramento ACT) for inviting me to join its monthly prayer vigil at the John Moss Federal Building. 🧵
It was a pleasure to kick off the Sac Asian Chamber's Internal Study Mission.
I love seeing our region come together to share ideas, strengthen partnerships, and create new opportunities. 🧵
Grateful to The Sacramento Observer for bringing together members of our Black community for a meaningful conversation about expanding housing access, supporting Black-owned businesses, opportunities in emerging technologies, and fighting for better healthcare. Thank you to everyone who joined us!
It was wonderful to spend time with neighbors at this year’s High Water Jamboree!
With El Niño potentially bringing heavier storms this winter, it’s important that we work together to keep our families and neighborhoods safe. 🧵
Every family deserves a neighborhood park where kids can play, neighbors can gather, and memories can be made.
It was wonderful to celebrate the opening of Heritage Oaks Park in West Sacramento! 🧵
I was proud to join SacRT and our community partners to celebrate the opening of the new 7th Street and Railyards Station—our second new light rail station in just one month! 🧵
A fill-up shouldn’t break the bank.
I introduced the Gas Money Saved Act to strengthen fuel economy standards and help Sacramento families go farther on every gallon. More miles. Less money at the pump.

Sacramento is home to groundbreaking medical research that's improving lives and shaping the future of health care.
It was a pleasure to join the UC Davis School of Medicine to recognize the researchers, students, and medical professionals driving innovation and advancing lifesaving discoveries. 🧵
I’ve never had a constituent ask for more robocalls.
Yet the FCC is considering letting political robocallers reach your cellphone without your permission, including with AI voices.
Making it easier to deceive voters weeks before an election is indefensible.

The Federal Communications Commission is considering a request to loosen rules on political robocalls, including those with AI-generated voices.
Wonderful to join Sacramento’s vibrant Fijian community for Fijian Cultural Night, celebrating 56 years of Fiji’s independence! 🇫🇯
Our region is stronger because of the rich traditions, culture, and contributions of our Fijian neighbors.
Thank you for including me in this special celebration!
Excited to celebrate the groundbreaking of Wonder Works at the SMUD Museum of Science and Curiosity (MOSAC)!
This new facility will expand hands-on educational programming, workforce development, and community partnerships... 🧵
This Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we honor the Indigenous peoples whose histories, cultures and traditions are woven into the fabric of the Sacramento region.
We recognize the Tribal Nations & Native communities whose enduring contributions continue to strengthen our communities & shape our country.
